Farm visitor sign-in, from the gate to sign-out

Give farm visitors and contractors your access instructions and safety information before they enter. SmartSignIn records their acknowledgement and arrival, and lets configured managers know they have signed in.

Keep the briefing relevant to today’s farm

A farm changes with the season and the work being done. Use your briefing to explain where to report, which routes to use and which areas are restricted. Review it when livestock movements, machinery, spraying or other activities change.

A record that is easier to use

  • Record visitor arrivals, acknowledgements and departures.
  • View people currently signed in and search visit history.
  • Send configured arrival and departure notifications.
  • Manage workplace information and QR signs from the account portal.

Plan for the real conditions at your entrance

Visitors need a connected phone. Check the QR sign is readable, the arrival point has coverage and the briefing is suitable for the visitor. Keep an alternative arrival process available when a phone or connection cannot be used.

Use our farm visitor safety briefing checklist to prepare your information, then tailor it to the risks and controls on your farm.

Compare monthly and yearly plans before starting setup.

Before you start

Do visitors need an app?

No. The QR code opens the sign-in page in a phone browser. Visitors need an internet connection to load the briefing and submit their visit.

What if there is no mobile coverage?

Check coverage where your QR sign will be used. Provide a suitable Wi-Fi connection or a managed alternative arrival process. SmartSignIn does not provide offline sign-in.

Does a recorded acknowledgement make the workplace compliant?

An acknowledgement records that the visitor has responded to your briefing. You still need to identify and manage risks, keep information current and arrange any supervision or task-specific induction needed.

What information can a manager see?

Authorised managers can view people currently signed in and visit history. Access and notifications depend on the workplace and account configuration.
